Ms. Whitcomb's third period class is working on an interesting hispanic breakfast/lunch project. The class is working on creating a menu, completely in spanish. The students are researching different spanish states and what they eat there. Along with the menu and their research, they are required to make the recipe to show what they learned. In an exclusive interview with seventh grade student Nina Skaudis, we got an inside look of the project. “My group is doing Guatemala and we are making a bunch of spicy foods but for the drinks, we're doing Virgin margaritas and we're also doing guacamole,” stated Nina. We then got some insight from Ms. Whitcomb who said, “ They are doing a combination of learning what the foods are for breakfast and lunch and applying that to what we've learned about how to talk about what we eat and drink; and doing some research on hispanic countries to find out what they eat and drink." Overall, the purpose of this project was for the students to learn about different foods and countries, called "fun but difficult" by Nina Skaudis
