September 11th

9/11 is a very sad time for Americans. Even though most of us weren't born yet, it still has had an impact on most of our lives in some kind of way. “ What is 9/11?,” some of you may ask. On September 11, 2001 there was a breech on four different U.S. plans. A team of 19 hijackers took them over and planned to attack some of the United Stated most important buildings. Two of the planes ran into the World Trade Centers in New York, One hit the pentagon in Washington D.C. A brave passengers on the fourth plane crashed it in Pennsylvania. All of the plane crashes had no survivors.
A total of more than 2,977 people (not including the hijackers) died on 9/11. Not all of them were even on the plane. Some of the victims were innocent pedestrians or first responders trying to save others. In order to honor all those who died in that time of crisis we remember on September eleven the ones that lost their lives to show our respect for them. Remember “One of the worst days in America’s history saw some of the bravest acts in America’s history. We’ll always honor the heroes of 9/11. And here at this hallowed place, we pledge that we will never forget their sacrifice.”-President George W. Bush at the Pentagon in 2008
