Soccer Season Preview
Emma Weiland
Four years ago Muller Road Middle School opened and let in a fresh batch of students ranging from 6-8th grade. Among those students were our first soccer players and team captains. Many of our old players have moved on to play High School Soccer for Westwood High and Blythewood High. These students set the bar for our later, more recent players who continue to meet the standards of our coaches, and raise the bar that our early teams set. As you walk through the hallways that our sixth graders occupy you can find future soccer prodigies. Our coaches thrive to improve our team and school spirit and to constantly get 100% effort from each and every athlete. As our team grows together they will also make priceless memories to share with their families when they get older.
When People think of Muller Road Middle School they usually think of our student body. Our student body is extremely diverse, we have everything from Math-letes to Athletes! Our athletes have just begun their soccer season, Girls and Boys soccer have been practicing hard to make sure we have an amazing season! Coach White shared with us how he thinks out team will do, "I think the team's gonna do pretty well this year, we've got a lot of talent..." Muller Roads first game is/was March 9, and it is/was a home game. This year we have a few returners to the team who will make great leaders, and help out the newer players. Isabelle Gressette tells us that she believes the team could be undefeated this season "because we have really good players on the team and everybody works well together." As the team progresses they will be able to play well together and win all the time!
