Diamonds tame the Mustangs in Opener |
Emma Weiland
As you may know Muller Road soccer season has officially begun! We played our first game on Monday, March 9th. Unfortunately we lost both the boys and girls games. Even though we lost, we played hard! Our next games will be better. After all it WAS our first game, so it had to have been tough. Losing is a good way to learn how to win without boasting. It teaches us how the other team feels when they lose. Every week game we have a small spotlight on one of our players. These are chosen based on effort and certain things we notice about leadership and spirit. This weeks boys player of the game was Richard "Clay" Woronka. Clay is in seventh grade and this is his first year of soccer. Although everyone played their hardest, Clay put in his all. Congratulations To Clay! Girls player of the game was Sutton Murray. Sutton is new this year but she's proving herself by beating odds on the soccer field! The score for the girls game was 5-0, and the boys score was 3-0, both losses.
