Clubs
Jenna Ali
Recently, I observed a few clubs on Monday the 23rd. I stopped by Mr.
Walker's chess club and talked to him, along with Mason Victor about
their club. I asked Mr. Walker if he enjoyed hosting a club and his
answer was, "Yes! I feel that clubs offer students time during a regular
school day to participate in extra curricular activities, like chess!
Chess involves a lot of skill and strategy that can be used in
everyday life!" When talking to Mason, I found that his dad wanted him
to take the club and it's "really fun but challenging."
After chess, I made my way over to Mr. Kuhn and Ms. Gilbert's drama
club. Mr. Kuhn described it as "a creative way to step out of student's
comfort zones. We see them being serious, goofy, and very funny!" I
also had a chat with Corez Pack, who said that he "gets a little
nervous, but he enjoys it for the most part."
